Movies that make me wish I lived somewhere else

It was another movie-heavy weekend for me.
There were friends who do the nasty and a certain boy wizard [more on him later].

Friends with Benefits was a good time. It was different from what I was expecting, and I dare say I liked it more than No Strings Atached. But for two movies with the same concept, they were actually fairly different.

And don't even get me started on the sizzling chemistry between JT and Mila Kunis.

Also, my adoration of Justin Timberlake went to a whole new level after seeing this. SEXY SEXY MAN.

More importantly, however, it got me asking the age old question...NYC or L.A?

Seriously.

I absolutely cannot pick a favorite between the two.

I lived in LA. for a summer during college while I worked on an internship. It was an incredible experience. I only worked three days a week, so I got to explore the city by myself and be a beach bum whenever I felt like it [often]. I went to an "industry" party and saw someone snort coke [It was exactly like you see it done in the movies...$20 bill, credit card, mirror...and believe you me, I high tailed it out of there real fast]. I ate In-N-Out, Del Taco, La Salsa, and some of the best pizza I've ever had. That whole summer was a life changing experience.

Then there's New York City. My aunt and uncle live in Brooklyn, so I've been there more than a few times. And what more can I say except...it's New York. It is EVERYTHING. I love it desperately. It's alive, full of passion, and intoxicating.

On a daily basis I dream about moving to both of these cities. It is impossible to live in both, I know this. But how could I possibly choose?

So which is it for you? The Big Apple or LA-LA Land?

Tough question! I'm definitely on the fence about this too! My brother lives in LA (actually in Venice beach one block from the beach) so I'm going to say that so I can be closer to family. :)

I'm an NYC girl! But I wouldn't mind a house in San Diego (obv not LA but close enough)

San Francisco all the way!

Tee hee hee...oh all right, NYC!

I don't know, there's just something about it. Plus I've been fascinated with it since I saw Home Alone 2 back in Croatia and totally wanted to live in the Plaza Hotel Kevin McCallister gets to stay in. Lucky kid. ;-)

Speaking of movies, 10 Things I Hate About You just came on TV, wheeeee! OMG, Joseph Gordon Levitt was so freakin' cute (and now he's a fox, rrowwrrr!).

Also, glad you liked Friends With Benefits...been meaning to see it, and now I will after your thumbs-up. Also, saw Justin in concert here in Melbourne November 2007 and he was all kinds of hot.

I changed professions three times that night...first I wanted to be a sound engineer so as to get to attend all awesome concerts all the time, then I changed to backup vocals (I'm a singer anyway, soprano soloist in a chorale) and THEN I finally came to my senses and decided on backup dancer because, well, those girls got to get miiiiighty close to JT, tee hee!

(...aaaaand I've written WAAAAY too much, d'oh!)

P.S. Can't believe the coke snorting was exactly as in the movies. How trite. Bwah!
