The first time I have gone to a Halloween party in at least 500 years

Happy Halloween, friends!

I did a few Halloweeny things this past weekend that I'd like to share with you.

Friday night marked the first Halloween party I have been to in ages.

My costume wasn't exactly creative, but I had a great time eating too much chips and ranch dip and hanging out with good friends.

Don't worry, I didn't drink the entire bottle in one sitting.
[Though I am capable of doing so.]

Oh you know, I just hung out with my friend Ke$ha.

And Quinn from Glee.
My friends are diverse.

And of course I had to get a picture of the cat.

Did you do anything special for Halloween this weekend??

Halloweekend

Source: weheartit.com via Beka on Pinterest
Childhood throwback to Nightmare Before Christmas.
I was one of those weird kids who loved it even though it scared me.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.
I like scary things.
I like candy.
Therefore, I like Halloween.
This Texas weather and lack of decorations around town has definitely put a damper on my Halloween spirit.
So I plan to make this weekend as Halloweeny as possible! [plus the weather has decided to feel like fall]
First up is a party tonight.
I'll be dressed as a boring ol' ballerina. I may love Halloween, but I never said I was good at costumes.
I really wanted to be Liz Lemon [as it requires no effort due to the fact that I'm pretty sure LL and I would be best friends if she was real...well Tina Fey is real and I'd love to be her bff, but I'm starting to digress], but no one would know who I was unless I wore a name tag. And then no one would get it unless they're 30 Rock fans.
Blergh.
Sunday will bring pumpkin carving [I like to leave things until the last minute, clearly] and a viewing of Paranormal Activity 3.
Thank goodness Aaron will be in town that evening because my over-active imagination tends to get the best of me.
Case in point: After watching American Horror Story every week, I can't help imagining that "rubber man" is standing in my doorway.
[any fans of the show out there?]
I hope everyone has a spooktastic weekend!!
Hooray for corny holiday words.

Happy weekend!

Here's to a fabulous weekend for all of us!

I'll be heading home to San Antonio to see my uncle, who is in from NYC. We're having a big family BBQ that I am very much looking forward to.

Have a good one, loves!

My blog has been lacking in material lately, I am aware.

So here is some more non-material for you.

You've probably seen these boots [usually in brown] on every blog out there.

Clearly, I am no exception.

But I want these.

Bad.

Real bad.

Blow a large chunk of my paycheck bad.

The money fairy needs to visit me.

You should probably go buy these right now

OH.MY.GOSH.

Whoever thought of this combination deserves a prize.

Try not to eat the whole bag in one sitting.

And my list of TV shows to keep track of gets longer

My coworker loaned me the first season of this:

Everyone who watches it is absolutely obsessed, my parents included.

I won't even list out all the shows I watch because it might make you think I have no life.

But let's just say that adding another one might be verging on insanity.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

That time I went to a wedding and danced. A lot.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending a wedding that was chock full of old friends, true love, and lots of dancing.

Cumbia, to be exact.

Don't know what the Cumbia is?

It's a type of dance that makes me embrace my Hispanic half and use my hips as they were made to be used. If you're a San Antonian and don't know how to Cumbia, shame on you.

It's good times.

But most importantly, I was able to hang out with these wonderful ladies.

And gentleman.

I already can't wait for their Vegas wedding on 10-11-12.

The bride was Ronnie's older sister. This wedding was a looong time coming, and I couldn't be happier for them.

Despite having a terrible case of fat face and sweaty palms all night [I'm real attractive and you want to be my best friend, I know], I had a lovely time.

Plus, there were margaritas and aforementioned dancing.

Success!
