This crazy train, couch-jumping, scientology-fueled marriage has finally met its demise. And though their relationship can be described as all of the aforementioned things and more, I must admit I'm a tiny bit sad. Maybe because I was just so fascinated with their strange life and alien child, Suri. 

It is reported that Katie was under a five year marriage contract, and was just one of numerous actresses approached by Cruise representatives to see who would take on his offer. Do we recall how Katie's engagement to Chris Klein ended abruptly, then in swooped Maverick? Coincidence? 

Whatever the case, I hope Tom now feels free to be his own true self! [a short, crazed, possibly gay, scientologist?]

My two hopes for her during this time:

1. That she does indeed keep writing songs.

There are some people you just aren't happy for when you hear they're pregnant

Case in point:

Child celebs and sexy vampires

While waiting for a table at the Wings 'n More in College Station, I spotted this little fellow:

That's Manny from modern family.

His real name is Rico Rodriguez, and he is from College Station.

I was too chicken to ask for a picture.

Yes, I was nervous about a small child.

The next day, Lieutenant Dan was at the football game.

AKA Gary Sinise.

I was not in attendance of the game [duh], but it made me wish I cared more about football.

I wanted to meet him and say "Lieutenant Dan, iiiiice cream."

The day after that, I finally saw breaking dawn with Caroline and Ginger Boyfriend.

I may or may not have screamed at this scene:

And by "may or may not have," I mean that I definitely did and the whole theatre laughed.

I am ready to see the movie again. And maybe again.

News of the day

Three little tidbits that made me say, "Oh no!" or "Whoaaa!" or "Awww!"

1. "Oh no!": The Governator and Maria Shriver have split after 25 years. I have no particular affinity for Aaaanold, but the Kennedy family intrigues me, plus it's always a little heart breaking to hear about a long marriage ending.

2. "Whoaaa!": Microsoft has purchased Skype for about $8 BILLION in CASH. Take a second to wrap your head around that. Now procede to say, "Whoaaaa!"

3. "Awww!": Willkat [Yes, this is what I will call them from now on. It suddenly occurred to me.], AKA Prince William and Duchess Catherine, have left for their official honeymoon. Still no deets on the location, but they have indeed flown off into the sunset [or sunrise] together. Explanation still pending as to why I was not invited.

Celebrity splitsville

Ok seriously, Hollywood. What gives??

My thorough celebrity stalking via Perez Hilton and devout following of People Magazine on Twitter has made me aware of two major celeb-world splits this week.

 

1. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens

I must admit that I abhor High School Musical [surprsing coming from a gal who loves Vampire Diaries and the Gossip Girl books, right?] and almost died when I was once forced to watch it by a former roommate. *cough*Taylor*cough*

So I'm not torn up by this at all. It is of note simply because they were together for about 4 years and were the stuff that teeny bopper's dreams were made of.

Now I'm sure there are masses of cougars and tweens alike who will make it their life's mission to obtain the Zefron by any means possible!

Hudgy bear, I wish you and your nudie pics luck.

 

2. Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds

Why celbrity gods, WHY?

These two were born to procreate, and should have been given the chance to!

Sure, her voice annoys me and her acting is basically the same in everything she does, but deep down I kind of like her.

And he...well, he was just named People's Sexiest Man Alive. 'Nuf said.

But most importantly, I actually liked them together. They were low key and didn't flaunt their romance all over the place like a lot of stars do.
Le sigh.

Who's next? Will and Jada? Tom and Katy?

I should start placing bets on these kinds of things...
