100% success rate in getting members of a band to wave at us

Last week a group of fun ladies went to the rodeo to see Lady Antebellum. 

This was my second year to see them, and the third year in a row that Courtney was able to score super close seats...seats so close that the band could actually see us and wave back as we waved obnoxiously at them.

It is also important to note that these seats came with free food.

And let's not forget the camel I met who got a little too fresh with me.

That time my hair smelled like a BBQ pit for three days

With Rodeo season upon us, our first order of business was to attend the big "Cook Off" party.

And party we did.

See that lady? We had no idea who she was, but she really seemed to enjoy our company.

We just make friends wherever we go!

Reasons why I am excited

1. In honor of the rodeo, we get to wear jeans to work today.

2. Speaking of the rodeo, my friends and I are going to the big Cook Off party tonight. Good times will be had by all.

3. Oscar night on Sunday.

Hells yes.

I feel most stereotypically Texan when I'm at the rodeo. The boots I never wear suddenly make an appearance, and I feel the strong urge to speak as if I grew up on a ranch.

But aside from the whole actual rodeo part making me sad [I'm thinking those broncos and bulls don't enjoy being ridden], it's a pretty damn good time. Especially when you're with friends who make ANYTHING fun.
