Backstreet's Back...in my dreams

Maybe I've been obsessing over reading about One Direction a little too much these days, for it was the boy band love of my past that showed up in my dreams last night.

The Backstreet Boys were holding a reunion concert, so naturally Caroline and I had to go...and sit in the front row, at that.

Apparently the boys were more interested in conversing with the crowd than crooning the songs that catapulted them into pop stardom, because I suddenly found myself in a rousing conversation with Howie D [consequently, my least favorite BSB member].

One innocent conversation quickly led to getting onstage and throwing back shots of vodka with them, minus recovering alcoholic, Nick Carter.

[side bar: I would NEVER, under any circumstances, take straight shots of vodka. I am not Russian.]

It must have impressed them that we were 25 year old women and not screaming 13 year olds who weren't even conceived when I was plastering posters of their faces on my bedroom walls [and ceilings] because we got invited to the after party.

Aside from more vodka imbibing, it was revealed at said party that Kevin had a crush on me. Things escalate quickly in dreams.

In true Caroline + Alex fashion, we demanded that a photo shoot take place to prove to all our friends that we were BFFs with BSB.

And how did we request that everyone pose? In standard, embarrassing boy band poses, of course. Think awkward crouches, fingers on the chin in a stance of contemplation, etc.

Our photo shoot was cut short by a Christian camp who was trying to do a group activity. Why this was taking place in a bar, I have no idea. But such is the way of my dreams.

I woke up laughing, and I like to think that this fabulous boy band dream set the pace for the positive day I've had.

Thank you, Nick, Kevin, Brian, Howie, and AJ!

For all you 90s children out there

" Lisa Frank is not the name of a woman, it is the name of a movement, a culture, a way of living. It is a theory, a concept, a belief in something greater than yourself. It is the belief that all girls are entitled to dolphins covered with rainbows, jewel-encrusted frogs, and unicorns in acid-trip colors hugging each other. It is the ideology that no notebook is complete until it literally hurts your eyes to look at from so much color saturation. It is the hope that no school supply, no matter how insignificant, will be left un-bedazzled. It is the knowledge that your eraser cap, and that of your granddaughter’s, and her granddaughter’s after her, will not be some boring little nub–it will be a diamond covered with butterflies in a rainbow of colors. It is the dream of a better tomorrow."

That pretty much sums up my childhood.

Me and Lisa Frank were BFFs.

I may or may not still have some bedazzled kitty folders to prove it.

Looking for a sexy fisherwoman or slutty dresses? You've found the right blog

According to my blogger stats.

I'm a little disturbed by the slutty keywords that are associated with my little bloggy.

But mostly I'm laughing at whoever goes around googling "sexy fisherwoman."
