Sometimes I like to forget how old I am and read books that are more appropriate for pre-pubescent girls.
It's ok, I promise.
Never one to give up on a series, I couldn't help but finish up the Princess Diaries books that I missed after high school.
They are silly, y'all.
This girl complaaaaains and is dramatic and boy crazy and dorky and...ME [minus the whole being a princess thing. I wish.].
Yes, Princess Mia is startlingly similar to high school Alex.
It is apparent why I loved these books so much back in the day.
[and still do]
And now I know where I got the idea of calling one's virginity their "precious gift."
Yep.
Please be my friend still.

ha ha this made me laugh cause at 27 I still watch the movie every time I see it on abc family which is way more than I care to admit.
awww very cute!
I have never read these! But I used to read Sweet Valley High and ALL of the spinoffs (hides face in shame. Books like these are just so addictive!
ah yes, the precious gift. ha! love this.
"Precious gift" = bahahahahah.
Ah man...thank you for that. Tee hee hee!
And I hear you on the silliness of books we used to love back in our t(w)eens...when I was around 10-11, I was OBSESSED with The Baby-Sitters Club, as a lot of girls were, and a few years ago when I got my hands on a few of the stashed-away paperbacks, I couldn't help but chortle and cringe and whatnot.
I'll still be your friend :-)
Yep, that's totally okay. I admittedly will watch it any time I see it on TV. Now I want to read the book!

That's more than ok. I have read too many teen series to count...post teenage years.
Never read the books, but love the movies...
