And my list of TV shows to keep track of gets longer

My coworker loaned me the first season of this:

Everyone who watches it is absolutely obsessed, my parents included.

I won't even list out all the shows I watch because it might make you think I have no life.

But let's just say that adding another one might be verging on insanity.

Gorilla juicehead guido heaven

Oh lawzy. Do y'all watch Jersey Shore? Trust me, I resisted with all my might for the first two seasons. Being a lover of all things pop culture, this was a feat for me. But I held my head high and turned a blind eye to the outrageous antics of Snookie, Sammi, JWow, Ronnie, Paulie, Vinny, and The Situation.

But now.

Oh man. Now, I'm singing a different tune.

Aaron and I randomly started watching season 2 episodes out of boredom last weekend and slowly but surely got ourselves HOOKED.

There was no going back.

Last night as I lay in anticipation on my couch, stuffed with sushi and a champagne cockatail,  I felt like a giddy school girl waiting for a glimpse of her ultimate crush to walk by. It was almost better than Christmas morning.

And thank you guidos and guidettes, for I was not disappointed!!

There were enough one liners and girl fights in last night's premier to last comics a lifetime. Twitter was blowing up every 5 seconds with people [like myself and Katie Jo] who felt the need to play-by-play tweet. It was one glorious American cultural experience if ever I saw one.

I won't ruin the episode for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, or for those of you who are now just dying to see what all the rage is about, but I promise it was PURE TV GOLD.

They may be trashtastic to the max, STD ridden, and tanner than Bob Barker, but my gosh they are entertaining. Plus, I guess you can't really fault them for what has become such an American thing to do: capitalize on your most unsavory traits by going on a reality tv show and making so much money that you can roll up in a luxury vehicle. Cha ching!!

Aaand on a completely different and non-trashy note, my alma mater is playing in the Cotton Bowl today against LSU. While I would like to be in Arlington tailgating and heckling the Tiger fans, must settle for blogging about it. Gig 'em Aggies!!

Watch this now!

I'm usually a strictly Oscars and Golden Globes kind of girl, but this opening number makes me wish I would have watched the Emmy's last night! For as much TV as I watch, maybe it's time I start tuning in every year

How I make it through insufferable work days

Maybe I've mentioned it before, but my job is pretty boring. Don't get me wrong, after 9 long months of searching for one and feeling like a worthless graduate with a worthless degree, I'm thankful to have it. I just wish I was a little more challenged and had actual work to do the majority of the time.

You're probably asking yourself how in the world I fill up these 8 hours of the day to avoid being a completely unproductive human being. Well, allow me to show you.

How I've kept myself from this show for so long, I do not know. Call me odd, but I'm a big fan of crime/murder on TV shows. Throw in a killer who only offs bad guys, and I'm hooked. Thank goodness for instant Netflix allowing me to watch this at my leisure!

I like to think that I'm allowed to be obsessed with Twilight at my age because I equally love the edgier and more adult appropriate, True Blood. Though this is definitely not suitable workplace material, that doesn't stop me from watching veryyy quietly at my desk.

I've already admitted to loving Twilight, and now I will dig myself deeper into the hole and appear to be even more of a 15 year old girl. But seriously guys, this show is addicting! I find it completely unrealistic that these girls are supposed to be 16. Maybe I was just a really naive 16 year old, but watch this show and tell me where in the world one can find 16 year old girls who get into such mature hijinks! With that said, this show is like candy and fuels my embarrassing love of trashy teen drama.

Anyone with half a brain should probably find 30 Rock to be entertaining. I do admit that I couldn't stand it for about the first 5 episodes, but now I am a huge fan. Tina Fey is pure genius. I want to be her/Liz Lemon's best friend. I really feel like we could sit down for a meal and having rousing, hilarious conversation. I would then become her protege and take the comedy world by storm. Besides, I've never seen another person adore/obsess/plan their day around food like I do.

So obviously, I watch a lot of TV. Yes, my desk is in an area where people walk by. No, I do not care. If important people are in the vicinity of my TV watching bonanza, I quickly switch my screen to an Excel sheet that I have long since finished working on, harmless email, or pictures of kittens. Because, yes, I frequently look at funny pictures of cats.

Commence judgement now.

I get way too involved in TV shows

So now that I have officially had a heart attack from watching the Grey's Anatomy season finale...I get to go home for the weekend. I will be sure to bore Aaron with my opinions the whole way there.

Caroline, please watch it ASAP so we can scream about it.

Happy weekend!
